Katie’s university workshops and lectures provide students with practical methods to translate dramatic analysis from flat page to living, breathing stage.

Embracing the notion that art requires investigation of story and self, Katie’s guest-teaching pairs structural analysis tools from Konstantin Stanislavski, Eleanor Fuchs and Suzan-Lori Parks with visual and physical interpretation ideas from by Ming Cho Lee, Tina Landau and Faye Simpson.

Katie has guest-lectured or been a symposium speaker for CENTRO University for Design (Mexico City), Colgate University (Hamilton, NY), Hobart & William Smith Colleges (Geneva, NY), Indiana University (Bloomington, IN) and Syracuse University’s College of Arts and Sciences and School of Art.
